The Point Tent & Trailer Resort Rules and PoliciesMembership Requirements


• The Point Tent & Trailer Resort is an private membership campground.
• All campers, guests and visitors are required to purchase an annual membership.
• All members must be 19 years of age or older, provide a valid drivers license photo or other photo identification. (no health cards)
• Membership can be revoked for misconduct and/or infringement of campground rules without refund.
• Members must notify the park office of any cancellations 96 hours prior to arrival or forfeit the amount due.

Check-In and Check-Out

• All campers, guests and visitors must register before entering the park.
• Check-in time is 2:00 p.m.
• Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Patrons must vacate their sites on time, and may enjoy the parks amenities until 6pm that day.
Please ensure your site is clean before you leave. A site cleanup fee of $100.00 will be charged to any guest(s) leaving a mess for us to clean up; this includes garbage left in the fire pit.
• No refunds for early check-out.

After-Hours Check-In

• If you require an “after hours check-in”, you must notify the park office prior to 5:00 p.m. (EST) on your arrival date by calling (519) 426-7275. The Park Attendant will instruct you how to proceed when you arrive. Failure to notify us in advance may
result in unexpected circumstances.

Wristbands and Car Tags

• Wristbands and car tags are provided at check-in for security purposes.
• Campers, guests and visitors must wear bands on their wrist at all times while in the park.
• Car tags must be clearly visible in the front window while your vehicle is in the park.
• Guest pass visitors must adhere to the wristband and car tag policies.
• Failure to wear your wristband or display your car tag may result in ejection from the park
Site Limitations and Provisions
• Each campsite capacity varies. Sites are not to exceed 3 tents and 1 dining tent OR 1 RV/trailer, 1 sleeping tent and 1 dining shelter AND no more than 8 persons. Please check site specifications prior to booking. All other arrangements
• require permission at time of reservation.
• One passenger vehicle is permitted per campsite. Additional vehicles must be registered and parked in designated area(s).
• DO NOT move picnic tables and fire rings.
• Sites must be vacated at the end of your stay. For guests who wish to leave their trailers/RVs at the park, storage is offered nominal fee.

Trees, Bushes & Shrubs

• The trimming or removal of trees, bushes and shrubs is prohibited. Only authorized staff is permitted to do so.
• Violators will be subject to a $250.00 penalty plus restoration and or replacement charges.
• The planting of trees, bushes or shrubs requires the approval of park management.

Quiet Hours

• Park quiet hours are between 11:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.
• Loud music, loud patrons, the running of generators, operating power tools or lawn mowers, etc. will not be tolerated.
• Disrespect to others will not be tolerated during quiet hours.
• Keep conversations during quiet hours to a reasonable level.


• Designated areas for nudity are strictly enforced. “No nudity beyond this point” signs indicate the boundary limits.
• Clothing is required beyond the entrance to the wooded area at the front of the park, and anywhere past the pond and gate. If there are any questions regarding these areas, please consult the park office.
• The Park is not clothing optional on family weekends (e.g., Thanksgiving). Park management reserves the right to restrict clothing optional periods. (e.g., Weddings, etc.).

Driving and Parking (all vehicles)

• Driving on the property is limited to 10km/h.
• Park only on your site or in designated area(s). One passenger vehicle is permitted per campsite. Additional vehicles must be registered and parked in designated area(s).
• Vehicles are not permitted on nature trails or wooded areas.
• Golf carts must be equipped with headlights. Turn on headlights when driving at night.
• After 10:00 p.m., driving within the park is restricted to entry and exit only.
• After 10:00pm, golf carts are permitted to travel between your site and the Rec Hall during dances & events.
• Golf carts are a privilege and not a right. Unsafe handling of golf carts will result in the loss of privilege.
• Park vehicles are exempt from parking restrictions and may be operated after 10 p.m.

Access to Park Property

• Persons using the park are bound by the Ontario Trespass to Property Act, and as such, access to the park is limited to
• operational days as determined by park management. For Security reasons, any other access to the property requires

prior approval from park management.

• The entry of any repair, maintenance or delivery persons must be communicated to the park office in advance.
• You are responsible to advise any persons entering the park to service or deliver to your site that they must sign in and out with the park office. Coordinating this is your responsibility. Failure to do so can result in denial of access
• Alcohol, Illegal Substances, Weapons and Fireworks
• Alcohol is allowed in the park.
• Any person caught selling or distributing drugs or any illegal substance on park property will be immediately ejected fromthe park without refund and will be banned from the park. No exceptions.
• Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited. If any person is found using or is in possession of a weapon, the police will be
• called, charges will be laid and all parties involved will be evicted from the park without refund.
• Fireworks are not permitted in the park except by authorized staff.
• Smoking and Non-Smoking Facilities
• All cabins, washrooms and the Rec Hall are non-smoking areas.
• Ashtrays are provided around the pool and in front of the Rec Hall.
• Improper disposal of cigarettes, cigars etc., constitutes as littering and is subject to a minimum fine of $250.00.
• Campfires and Firewood
• Do not bring firewood into the park. Firewood is available at the camp store.
• Moving firewood is prohibited due to CFIA regulations (
• Campfires must be contained within the fire ring provided on your site.
• Do not move fire rings.
• Do not burn garbage.
• DO NOT leave fires unattended.
• Pool Rules
• Pool hours are from 9 a.m. to midnight. Pool hours are subject to change without notice.
• Please obey the posted rules.
• Please shower before entering the pool. A poolside shower is available.
• No radios, car audio systems, portable stereos, etc. are permitted at the pool. Only personal listening devices with headphones are allowed.

• Glass containers, dishes, etc. are not allowed in the pool area.
• Pets are not allowed in or around the pool area.
• No running, horseplay or diving in the pool and pool area. Pool depth is 3.5 ft. to 5 ft.
• The pool is an unsupervised area and is used at your own risk.
• Washroom Facilities
• Please co-operate in keeping the washrooms in a neat and sanitary condition.
• Help conserve water and be respectful of other campers; limit your shower time and frequency.Pets are not allowed in or around the washrooms area.

Photography & Video

• Imaging devices (e.g., cameras, cell phones, video recorders, etc.) are prohibited, except at your assigned site.
• No images shall be taken of other patrons, guests, visitors or their personal property without their expressed permission.
• Exceptions will be made for special events. Notifications will be posted in the park office.
• Any commercial photography must have written approval by the park management and letters of release from the individuals.

Garbage and Recycling

• Garbage dumpsters and recycling containers are provided at the front of the park for your convince. External garbage &
• recycling is prohibited.
• Cigarettes cause fires, put them in the available receptacles around the park and not on the ground.

Only burn appropriate materials. Plastics, metals, glass, garbage etc, do not belong in the fire.

• Please bag your garbage and place it in the dumpsters.
• Please separate your recyclables into the correct blue bins.
• Cardboard can be placed in the communal bonfire pit, but must be broken down for burning.
• Large items (chairs, tables, couches, mattresses, etc.) may be disposed of for a fee. Please see the park office fordetails.
• Please help keep our park pristine. Patrons found littering will be fined $25.00.


• All pets must be on a leash at all times.
• Your pet(s) is your responsibility.
• You must pick up after your pet and dispose of waste in the garbage bins. Failure to do so will result in a minimum fine of
• $250.00 and constitutes grounds for expulsion without refund
• Pets are not allowed in or around the pool area, washrooms or Rec Hall.
• Pets are not allowed to be left tied to trees, fences, etc. in general use areas.
• No aggressive breeds (Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, etc.). Consult the park office prior to bringing your pet into the park.
• Pets must not be left unattended. if you are going to be gone for extended periods of time, take them with you.
• Please control barking. Complaints about excessive barking will result in you being asked to remove your pet from the park.
• All pets on the property must have up-to-date licenses and vaccinations.

Public Conduct and Safety

• Violence of any kind (including – but not limited to – fighting or physical assault), regardless of fault, will not be tolerated.The police will be called, charges will be laid and all parties involved will be evicted from the park without refund.
• Excessive intoxication will not be tolerated. Anyone causing a disturbance will be immediately evicted from the park without refund.
• No illegal activities of any kind will be tolerated and will result in immediate eviction from the park, without refund, and possible legal action being taken.
• Damage to park property will not be tolerated and full restitution will be enforced.


• Women are welcome on adult (19+) weekends, family weekends and other special events as deemed by management
• Visitors under 19 years of age are welcome on family weekends and must be accompanied by an adult family member at all times in the park. Patrons are reminded that during such times, no nudity is permitted.


• Fees, penalties and policies are subject to change at any time without notice.
• Promotions, discounts and coupons cannot be combined.
• Fees and Surcharges
• Dishonored Payment Fee > $25.00 + other applicable charges (e.g.; Late Payment Fees)

Indemnification and Liability

• Campers, guests and visitors acknowledge that this is a campground and as such recognize that there are inherent dangers such as tree roots, rocks and other hazards, which could cause tripping or falling. Campers, guests, and visitors shall indemnify and hold harmless The Point Tent & Trailer Resort and its owners and agents from and against any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost and expense (including legal expense at all court levels) arising out of or connected with their use of The Point Tent & Trailer Resort. It is expressly agreed that all personal property or equipment now or hereafter placed, stored or located on the premises shall be the sole responsibility and at the sole risk of campers, guests and visitors, and any damage, loss, theft, or destruction thereof shall be borne by campers, guests and visitors and shall be their sole responsibility.

• Violation of any of the above policies will result in expulsion at any time from the property,revocation of membership without refund, denial of future reservations and/or membership privileges, and possible criminal prosecution.
